Lokum Journal of Art and Design (LOKUM) is an open access peer-reviewed academic journal electronically published by Safranbolu Fethi Toker Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, which publishes scientific research based on theory, research and practice, revealing contemporary approaches in the field of art and design. The journal aims to contribute to the relevant researchers and institutions in the field of art and design in theory and practice, to publish articles that are prepared within the framework of the principle of impartiality, adhere to the principles of science ethics and solution-oriented, focus on new trends and developments, and discuss the current and future.

Within the scope of publication of Lokum Journal of Art and Design:
* Field of Arts (Traditional Turkish Arts, Music, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Cinema, Design, Movable Cultural Heritage / Artworks Restoration and Conservation) and subjects related to the education of these fields of arts are included.

LOKUM requires a uniform and complete page layout and publication / printing format in terms of the formal integrity and readability of the articles. The material responsibility that may arise regarding the preparation of the page layout belongs to the author(s). The author(s) can access the article template of LOKUM through the system. After acceptance, information about the author(s) (title, name and surname, institution, city, e-mail address, Orcid ID) are added to the articles prepared for publication. The author(s) are informed about the number and date when the article will be published.

LOKUM Journal of Art and Design Writing Rules are specified in the sample article template. The articles to be sent to our journal should be prepared according to the template below and uploaded to the system together with the Publication Rights Agreement and the Ethics Committee report.

For articles that do not require the Ethics Committee report, the form below should be filled and uploaded to the system together with the article.

LOKUM aims to support the development of academic publishing in an impartial and respectable manner. In this context, authors, readers, researchers, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members have to meet the standards required by ethical principles, and all stakeholders are expected to have ethical responsibilities. LOKUM is committed to adopting the principles published by the "Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)" as open access in ethical duties and responsibilities.
Scientific and legal responsibility of the articles published in LOKUM belongs to the author(s). All rights of the published articles belong to LOKUM and cannot be partially or completely printed, reproduced or transferred to electronic media without the permission of the editor. It is not possible to quote from the published article without showing the source.
The editorial board is free to publish or not publish the submitted article. The published article of the author(s) can be removed from publication, if deemed necessary, in line with the decision of the editorial board. Articles that crippling national unity and solidarity, discriminating people, and inciting hatred are not accepted. No royalties are paid to the author(s).
"Ethics Committee Approval" is requested for articles published in all branches of science, including social sciences, upon the change made in TR Index Journal Evaluation Criteria for the year 2020. Studies that require the approval of the Ethics Committee are as follows:
1. All kinds of research carried out with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
2. The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
3. Clinical studies on humans,
4. Animal studies,
5. Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data,
In accordance with this decision, "Ethics Committee Approval" must be obtained in all studies submitted to our journal and included in this scope, and the "approval letter" must be submitted to the journal together with the article.

No fee is charged from the author or institution under any name.
